Adopets was started in 2016 to introduce a pet adoption platform that would simplify the work done by shelters and improve the pet adoption experience. We are a social enterprise with a mission to provide a user-friendly pet adoption experience that enables shelters to adopt more pets faster, improves shelter efficiency, and delivers happiness to pet adopters.

As an adopter, our CEO was frustrated with the heavily paper-based pet adoption process and created a cloud-based platform that improves shelter efficiency and delivers a user-friendly adoption experience. Our singular goal for users is to deliver a simple and engaging online process for pet adoption, and our singular goal for shelters is to deliver an efficient system that streamlines adoption workflows and makes their jobs easier.

Today, the Adopets system has over 40,000 registered users and maintains over 300,000 adoption listings, and provides the leading system to automate the workflows associated with pet adoption. In the process, we have earned the trust of organizations around the world, including The Human Society International in India, Shelter Buddy, Austin Humane Society, and others.
